Just like most kids, I thoroughly enjoyed drawing, coloring, and doodling on EVERYTHING! I actually vividly remember winning first place in a contest out of the whole Chesterfield County. I actively participated in art shows in elementary school where my mom had my art work framed and ready for it to be presented. Now who knew this is where it would take me later in life?

Unfortunately as a teenager, that love for art grew away from me. I never once took a class in high school.. I guess I felt too “cool” to do it then. I went to college thinking I would do something with computers but God definitely had a different plan. 

 

I graduated with a Degree in Visual Arts and a certificate in Fine Arts (which was a bonus because I definitely wasn’t expecting it). At John Tyler is where I grew my skills on drawing as well as oil painting portraits.. which I actually hated! I took some photography and graphic design courses as well. 

 

Heres the kicker, my major was for Graphic Design and not once have I done anything with it.. and as much as I hated oil painting, I came out having a BALL with acrylic instead! Painting became my stress reliever. And once I produced more and more art.. why not share it to earn some extra income?!
